Project Brief

We were a successful tenderer for the Minor Capital Works Framework, for Ireland’s largest acute academic hospital, based in Dublin’s south inner city. As part of this framework, we were contracted to implement the hospitals mission of investing in their facilities, covering an area with over 1,020 beds, 4,150 staff, which sees over 300,000 patients per annum.

For this element we were awarded the upgrade works of the Mammography Screening Unit. The project was executed in an acute occupied hospital environment which required careful consideration for noise & dust reduction, contamination, and disturbances to patients and staff.

Project Specifications

The works consisted of refurbishing a subdivision of an existing Fluoroscopy Unit, to create new Mammography clinic rooms. Other elements of the project included demolishing existing changing facilities to create a new waiting area, and the creation of a new reporting and changing rooms in the Ultrasound Breast Imaging Department.
